Chik fil a is a fast food chain that sells fried chicken and markets itself as healthier and holier than it's competitors. They think frying the chicken in peanut oil is gonna prevent heart disease or something. They're well known for being very homophobic and denying service to queer people.

The asshole in charge: Dan Cathy

Dan Cathy is an Evangelical homophobe who never shuts up about how much he hates gay people. He proudly supports any and all attempts to end same-sex marriage rights no matter how many millions it costs him and sees no issue denying service to queer folk. He also didn't have to work for his position, it was just handed over to him by his daddy so naturally he keeps his father's hateful legacy alive.

Their hatred for queer folx goes beyond public statements and funding lawsuits to strip us of our rights. Chik fil a has also funded "conversion therapy" which is literally just torture that makes you hate yourself and repress your queerness. To be specific, the organization they have funded is called "Exodus International" and because they're cowards and they know funding torture is fucking awful they did it through WinShape foundation, but after they were caught they created their own organization called the Chik fil a foundation (how creative!/s).

In 2019, it's believed by some that Chik fil a bribed a politician with their sandwhiches to sign an anti-queer bill as he was seen surrounded by them as he signed the bill. It would be fucking hilarious if it weren't so goddamn evil.

A transgender woman was sexually harassed while working for the corporation and instead of doing anything helpful or productive about the harassment they fired her in hopes of silencing her. This happened in 2021 and the lawsuit is ongoing. I hope she wins and fucking buries them! Not only is the company trying to silence her, but they're also trying to sabotage her future employment prospects claiming falsely that she was frequently tardy. Absolutely disgusting rapist apologia.

Anti-Abortion shit

There is an anti-abortion "heartbeat" law in Texas legally modeled directly after the "Save Chik fil a" law which allows anyone to sue anyone if they believe that their evangelical dipshit rights are somehow being infringed upon. In Texas if you even suspect a person of getting an abortion you can take them to court on the grounds of both the chik fil a and heartbeat laws combined. Hell, even if people think you're fleeing the state of Texas because of these laws existing you could potentially face a lawsuit because of these controlling Evangelical freaks! These laws shouldn't exist and we have the bigot chicken company to blame for both of them.

If the legal fuckshit wasn't bad enough, they also directly fund the anti-abortion movement through the national christian foundation and refuse to hire anyone who has gotten an abortion in the past.

Discrimination and Indoctrination

Chik fil a won't hire anyone that isn't Christian or accepting of their Christian rhetoric and dogma. Legally they're not allowed to do this, but everyone knows that they do. It's an open secret. Every day the employees get together and start their shift with a prayer that's guided by the store manager and participation is mandatory. They need God to bless the chicken before they sell it I guess.
